Charity Ball

As many of you already know USTA has mandated league restructuring take place in the championship year of 2013. For SCTA our 2013 championship year begins June 2012. This change has opened up more league play for many of our players, but has also crowded our league calendar.  Because of this crowded league calendar we have, with the support of the Charity Ball Rules Committee and SCTA’s board of directors, decided to make some changes to better enhance the Combo league by moving the daytime playing date to Wednesday mornings in the spring and fall. It will take the time slot formerly held by Charity Ball.

Charity Ball will continue to exist in the tournament format, one to two times a year. Aleisa Hallberg has agreed to co-chair this event. She is looking for additional volunteers, so please seek her out.

Fore more information about Combo see our Combo page.

Charity Ball League is currently changing from a daytime charity recreational league semi-annual charity tournament.  . Charity's format is a combination of two rating levels, for example 4.0/3.5 or 3.5/3.0. Four lines of doubles are played. The highest combined ratings are played at line 1, subsequent lines must be equal to or less than previous lines. For Charity Ball rules click here.

For example: Line 1 4.0 and 4.0
Line 2 4.0 and 4.0
Line 3 4.0 and 3.5
Line 4 3.5 and 3.5
