The registration schedule for the upcoming summer season is as follows:

Registration Open:  April 10 - May 16, 2010

Team Registration Deadline:  May 16, 2010 (No more teams accepted after this date).  Captains should have enough players registered to field a team on that date (for 2.5 teams - 5 players, 3.0 and higher - 8 players). Any team without the minimum number of players registered may be removed from the league.

Team Size Restriction:  Team size is restricted to the number of players to fill a complete line-up (i.e., 2.5 = 5 players, 3.0 = 8 players, etc.) x 2 + 4.  Therefore, 2.5 and 5.0 teams are restricted to 14 players, and all other levels are restricted to 20 players.

NTRP Rating Level Restriction:  A player may not register for a team more than .5 above their published NTRP level (i.e., a 3.0 player may not play on a team any higher than 3.5).

Late Add-On Deadline:  None, players may be added any time.

Play begins June 8, 2010.

4.0 Low Weekday Women - Tuesday, June 8

3.0 , 3.5, and 4.5 Weekday Women - Wednesday, June 9

4.0 Weekday Women – Thursday, June 10

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 Men – Sunday, June 13

Captain’s Folder Pick-Up and Captain's Meeting: 

There will be a captain's meeting on Thursday, May 27 at Peachtree City Tennis Center with the time of the meeting to be published shortly. Light refreshments will be served. The captain’s packets will also be available online. 

Verification Clinics:  NONE!!!  If you do not have a current USTA rating, please self-rate using TennisLink.  The point at which you self-rate is when you are registering for a team.

2.5 Business Women Sunday, 4 p.m.
3.0 Business Women Sunday, 4 p.m.
3.5 Business Women Sunday, 4 p.m.
4.0 Business Women Sunday, 4 p.m.
4.5 Business Women Sunday, 4 p.m.
3.0 Men Sunday, 1 p.m.
3.5 Men Sunday, 1 p.m.

At the end of the season, Business Women and Weekday Women will have a play-off at each level that has both business and weekday teams.  If there are 8 business and weekday teams at the same level, no play-off may be needed and a representative from each flight may be invited to the District championship.  The play-off winners, as well as the men’s flight winners, will be invited to the State (District) tournament in May, 2010.

Players Needed:   It is recommended that a 2.5 team be composed of a minimum of seven (7) players.  Each dual match format shall be 1 singles and 2 doubles.  No player may be rated higher than the team.  It is recommended that 3.0 and higher teams be composed of a minimum of ten (10) players.  Each dual match format shall be 2 singles and 3 doubles.  No player may be rated higher than the team.

Eligibility of Players:   All players must meet the following requirements:

1.  Be a member in good standing of the USTA.  Each player’s USTA membership must be valid through the end of the winter season or later to be accepted on TennisLink.
2.  Reach at least the age of 19 during this calendar year.

Facility:  Home team shall provide a minimum of 2 courts with onsite restroom facilities and drinking water.  Captain should make arrangements with facility prior to registering on TennisLink.

Local League Fees:  Each player must pay the following fee: $7.00 Local League Fee and $3.00 TennisLink fee (paid upon registration using TennisLink)

USTA Fees:  USTA membership/renewal fees are paid directly to USTA.

Awards:  Awards are given to all members of the winning team in each Division.  Women’s teams that win the playoff match between business and weekday women will receive an additional playoff award.  All captains will receive a gift of appreciation.  Awards and gifts will be presented during a USA League Tennis Team Appreciation Event at the completion of the season.

Adult State (District) Championships:  May 7-10, 2010 (M&W, 2.0, 3.0 & 4.0 Low, Macon); May 14-17 (M&W, 4.0 & 5.0, Augusta, GA); and May 21-24 (2.5 & 3.5, Rome, GA)

One team is invited per season per level in both Men’s and Women’s leagues.
